Skytower and Tongli Group attended the NIDC Workshop

Skytower and Tongli Optical Film Group participated in a workshop hosted by the NIDC Conversion Chemicals team, bringing together key stakeholders including MISA, MIM, and SIDF. The session was held in support of Tongli Group’s potential plan to localize its manufacturing operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This initiative includes establishing an overseas headquarters and a dedicated R&D center in the Kingdom. Tongli’s move toward local manufacturing would mark a significant milestone, as critical materials such as industrial glue, substrates, and application films are currently all imported into Saudi Arabia.

It was a highly valuable workshop experience, and both the Skytower and Tongli Optical Film Group teams would like to extend our sincere thanks to Eng. Saleh Al-Solami, CEO of NIDC, for personally hosting the event and expressing his strong support for Tongli Group’s potential localization initiative. He noted: “This was a highly pragmatic and efficient exchange. The Saudi Industrial Development Center will fully support the localization process of Skytower and Jiangsu Tongli Group, coordinating relevant government resources and providing comprehensive, cross-departmental support to ensure the successful implementation of the project and to drive the development of high-end manufacturing in Saudi Arabia.”

The workshop featured substantive and constructive discussions, with excellent coordination led by EVP Ahmed Bin Eid and the NIDC Chemical team, in collaboration with MISA, MIM, SIDF, and the Conversion Chemicals team. We are enthusiastic about the opportunities ahead and look forward to working closely with the NIDC Chemical team to advance the project and realize its localization goals. Mr. Eric Fang, CEO of Skytower, stated: “We are confident in the long-term potential of the Saudi market. Tongli Group’s localization plan not only aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its goals for manufacturing transformation sets a strong example for high-end manufacturing collaboration between China and Saudi Arabia. We look forward to working closely with NIDC and all partners to advance project implementation and jointly create a new chapter of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.”
