Skytower visited the Chemical Team of the Saudi Ministry of Energy to advance the localization of optical film technology from Tongli Group.
The meeting with the Chemical Team led by Basil L Fatani at the Ministry of Energy was a highly productive and valuable experience. Discussions centered on the potential localization of Tongli Optical Film production in the Kingdom, with a focus on securing the Ministry’s support for introducing this advanced technology and establishing a domestic manufacturing base.
Currently, all optical film used across key industries in Saudi Arabia is imported. By bringing Tongli’s proven manufacturing technology to the Kingdom, this initiative would mark the creation of the first local optical film industry, aligning closely with Vision 2030 and national industrial localization goals.
It would also significantly enhance local capacity in critical sectors such as construction, automotive, new energy, and decarbonization.
